Convert movies for viewing on the Nintendo 3DS
A couple of guys over at the GBAtemp.net forums put together a great and free piece of software which can convert any 3D/2D film or clip for watching on your Nintendo 3DS.
I tried it and converted a 3D video and watched it on my Nintendo 3DS and I have to say it works great. The 3D effect is good and the overall video quality is perfect just like the source. The source file was a .mp4 YouTube clip that was originally 1080p and was down-converted to 480×240 using the software (3DS Video v1.32).

Make Nintendo Zone content available at your home
For those of you unfamiliar with the Nintendo Zone, it’s essentially a downloadable content delivery service that allows the Nintendo 3DS to pull down special videos and game demos. Normally you would have to go to a certain hotspot to access the service which are located in Best Buy stores, airports, malls, and many other locations throughout the country.
However with this simple trick you’ll be able to access all that content from your own home:
1. Set your wireless network name to “attwifi” (without the quotes)
2. Set that network to unsecured
3. Add the “attwifi” network connection on your 3DS and enjoy full access to the Nintendo Zone from your home!
Kingdom Hearts 3D European release date leaked
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance is a title that many fans are anticipating on the 3DS this year, though release details outside of Japan haven’t been revealed at all yet. But apparently there has been a mistake at Square Enix and we most likely now know the European release date.
The title was listed for July 27 2012 on Square Enix‘s French store, before hastily changing it to summer 2012 as reported by GimmeGimmeGames.
Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance will be the seventh game in the series and follows PSP title Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, which was released last year.
Monolith Soft is working on a new 3DS game
Monolith Soft, developers of such games as Xenoblade and the Baten Kaitos series, are looking for staff for their upcoming 3DS game.
According to the job listing they posted, they need people for 3D character and map modeling, effects designers for map and battle scene effects, and motion designers for working on motions of monsters and characters. I guess we will soon find out what kind of game they are working on.
The 3DS has sold over 5,000,000 units in Japan since release
Nintendo has announced that the 3DS has sold over 5,000,000 devices in under a year. To compare, it took the Game Boy Advance 58 weeks to achieve this milestone and it took the Nintendo DS 56 weeks to accomplish the same.
